Dr. Shahniwaz Labana is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 7 years of clinical experience and is also board certified in obesity medicine. He completed his residency at Wayne State University in 2014 and has held leadership roles, including Chair of Medicine at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital and Medical Director of his hospitalist group. With an MBA in healthcare administration, Dr. Labana is passionate about preventive medicine and obesity management. He is dedicated to helping individuals achieve sustainable weight loss through evidence-based strategies and a holistic approach to health. At Vitality Health, his mission is to empower patients by providing comprehensive, personalized care that addresses the root causes of obesity and supports long-term wellness. With over 22 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan and Texas, she specializes in helping individuals develop the mindset and emotional resilience needed to achieve lasting weight loss. Her approach blends conventional therapy with holistic methods, including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and yoga practices, to create a balanced emotional, mental, and physical state. By focusing on self-awareness, behavior change, and the root causes of emotional eating, she helps to build a sustainable, healthy relationship with both food and the body itself.
